We are involved in amber jewellery business more than 20 years. To be honest I never paid to much attention to amber teething necklaces. I just used to keep them in stock  because all my competitors did. I held a stall with amber jewellery and some times used to participate in various craft fairs and trade shows. In 1996 it was Christmas Market in Berlin, Germany. I had booked a stall there. I brought to that event a lot of amber jewellery. There was a huge selection of amber silver jewellery, amber necklaces and bracelets for ladies, amber accessories and souvenirs, even amber encrusted smoking pipe........but no amber teething necklaces. In the middle of the event a humble young couple with a 1 year old boy came to my stall. "Do you have a short amber necklace for this young man?"- they asked. I didn't. They looked very sad, and I realised that they really need it. I realised that that it is not very easy to find an amber teething necklace in Germany. I tried to shorten a ladies necklace, but it wasn't successful because the teething necklace must be knotted. It was a big shame for me that I, an amber craftsman from an amber country wasn't able to help a little boy suffering teething problems. Since that time I always have amber teething necklaces in stock, as much as possible and best quality I can.
